This is probably going in my top 10 cultivation donghua. The characters are interesting enough, the story is well paced for the most part. Even the villains aren’t as annoying as most donghua.
That said, many other donghuas have started off this good but then dropped the ball and became a boring slog through underwhelming and cliche slop.
